Flathead County Prevention Alliance.

The Flathead Prevention Alliance

is a coalition of organizations committed to promoting a community in which youth are supported and empowered, and adults and elders are valued and respected. This dedicated group has been meeting monthly since 1998 to develop programs and strategies for building a safe, healthy community through collaborative efforts.

Our vision statement is "A Community which values, respects and intentionally connects all people, continually creating a safe and healthy environment." Alliance members have created and developed a number of programs in support of their Vision Statement. These programs include developing and presenting workshops on the 40 Developmental Assets, establishing a Kalispell Youth Advisory Council, creating a Teen Media Literacy Team, and applying for and receiving a Drug-Free Communities Support Grant, funded by the President' s Office of Drug Control Policy.
